Indonesian Aquaculture Society (MAI)
Proudly Presents

INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE OF AQUACULTURE INDONESIA 2012

Indonesia as one of the biggest aquaculture producers in the world has a huge potency to increase the production in 2014. The aquaculture production of Indonesia hopes to increase up to 15 million tons in 2014. To realize this target, it is required supports from all stakeholders to work together with the government to rise up the production of aquaculture through the programs of revitalization and intensification in aquaculture. The role of aquaculture business as a real sector in national economic growth is very significant as a national economic prime mover (labor source, income source, food source).
In relation to increase national aquaculture production, scientific meeting and business forum in aquaculture to exchange information and share experience is urgently needed. Indonesian Aquaculture Society or Masyarakat Akuakultur Indonesia (MAI) together with aquaculture stakeholders wants to develop the national aquaculture through dissemination of aquaculture information and conference as a forum to exchange information of science, technology, and aquaculture business. This event is one of MAI care forms in commitment to assist the government in information distribution and promotion of current aquaculture development status of Indonesia to other aquaculture producer countries.
This yearly event of MAI is International Conference of Aquaculture Indonesia 2012 (ICAI2012). ICAI 2012 will be held on November, 23rd to 24th 2012 at Novotel Hotel Semarang, Central Java, Indonesia. We hope through ICAI 2012 will increase our knowledge, technology, and business experience of aquaculture stakeholders at local, regional and international.
