INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE OF AQUACULTURE INDONESIA 2012
Indonesia as one of the biggest
aquaculture producers in the world has a huge potency to increase the
production in 2014. The aquaculture production of Indonesia hopes to increase
up to 15 million tons in 2014. To realize this target, it is required supports
from all stakeholders to work together with the government to rise up the
production of aquaculture through the programs of revitalization and intensification
in aquaculture. The role of aquaculture business as a real sector in national
economic growth is very significant as a national economic prime mover (labor
source, income source, food source).
In relation to increase national
aquaculture production, scientific meeting and business forum in aquaculture to
exchange information and share experience is urgently needed. Indonesian
Aquaculture Society or Masyarakat Akuakultur Indonesia (MAI) together with
aquaculture stakeholders wants to develop the national aquaculture through dissemination
of aquaculture information and conference as a forum to exchange information of
science, technology, and aquaculture business. This event is one of MAI care
forms in commitment to assist the government in information distribution and
promotion of current aquaculture development status of Indonesia to other
aquaculture producer countries.
This yearly event of MAI is International
Conference of Aquaculture Indonesia 2012 (ICAI2012). ICAI 2012 will be held on
November, 23rd to 24th 2012 at Novotel Hotel Semarang,
Central Java, Indonesia. We hope through ICAI 2012 will increase our knowledge,
technology, and business experience of aquaculture stakeholders at local,
regional and international.
